This means a 100% carbon fiber hood, adding as well composite materials on the updated vents and power domes. Fortunately, that hasn’t stopped aftermarket tuners from making their adjustments. A Russian-based company has taken it upon themselves to revitalize the Lada Niva with a diesel engine, sourced from BMW. Yes, the Niva gets a BMW N47 diesel powertrain, which is a welcome alternative for off-road enthusiasts. Diesel-powered engines provide a lot of torque –the perfect accessory for an off-road adventure.

However, the 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine is under kill considering there are much more powerful alternatives available for the swap. Anyway, the modification is commendable as the Russian company has done a lot of work to fit the inline-4 powertrain into the engine bay. The shocks have been changed, the engine foundation fortified and other tweaks have been made to accommodate the new guest.

The N47 is mated to an automatic transmission taken from the BMW 3 Series, which takes power to the rear wheels. The set-up produces 250 hp, allowing the Niva to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.0 seconds. The massive 20-inch wheels help out a lot with this matter.

The Lada Niva also gets a few upgrades in the interior such as the dual climate control and a modern infotainment system, both taken from BMW vehicles.

There is no price tag on the SUV as of now but you can expect the modification to cost a lot considering the changes.

However, the latest tuner to develop a power upgrade and a couple of visual enhancements on an X model is not from German. It is called Dahler, it comes from Switzerland and also creates impressive visuals. Dahler is well-known for transforming cars from Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche and much more.

Now, the Swiss technicians have turned their attention towards the brand-new BMW X4, in both forms, the M40i and M40d. Both are available with a series of enhancements and power upgrades under the hood.

From a visual perspective, the X4 (the M40d is displayed in the media gallery below) comes with new front and rear bumpers, wider wheels (sized 9 x 21-inch and 10.5 x 21-inch front and rear, respectively), adding as well an in-house built Dahler stainless steel exhaust system with no less than four tailpipes which announces a power increase and wilder engine sound.

Besides that, the SUV is also lowered, as it received a sport suspension setup with shock absorbers that provide greater stance and grip.

Performance wise, the stock BMW X4 M40i is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, developing 350 PS and 500 Nm of torque. However, with the tuner`s ECU remapping and new turbos, the M40i is now capable to churn out 420 PS and 630 Nm of torque, resulting an increase of 60 PS and 130 Nm of torque.

There is also good news for those owning the top of the line X4 M40d, the tuner also offering a tuning offer. The same stock engine puts it to 326 PS and 680 Nm of torque. Now, with the new power upgrade, the topper got no less than 380 PS and 780 Nm of torque, which is quite impressive. We would have loved hearing about the performance figures it the straight line, but for the moment, the tuner chose not to reveal that for the moment. Hopefully we get updates pretty soon!

However, there are famous tuning firms willing to shape out the car`s every inch at the exterior and turn it into something more appealing and outrageous. Particularly if customizations include a set of new wheels from tuners like Vorsteiner, Vossen or HRE Wheels.

Speaking of which, just take a closer look at the model in question. It has been prepared by Wheels Boutique and now wearing the high-performance HRE Wheels, which replace the stock M Carbon Compound wheels.

In this case, the technicians from Wheels Boutique have installed the high-performance HRE R101 Lightweight wheels, also seen on other models like the M2, M3 or standard M4. They measure 20 x 9.5 and 20 x 11 front and rear, respectively, and are finished in Satin Charcoal. A new set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires were also installed. These are forged wheels specifically built for road use, providing increased stance and better grip. They also make the M4 GTS in question more aggressive.

As for the car`s exterior and interior, things remain unchanged. I mean, why spoiling something good? The BMW M4 GTS in question is even more aggressively looking with just the new wheels in place.

The engine remains stock as well. The M4 GTS brags with a stock yet powerful 3.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine (it is not the same engine as its smaller sibling M4), churning out an impressive 493 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. Paired to a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission, equipped with Drivelogic, the M4 GTS sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in a staggering 3.6 seconds.

However, there were a couple of BMW M4 GTS owners that decided to add more blood into its veins, while others wanted just a couple of visual enhancements; and others, of course, who wanted all. In this case, the owner of the model in question opted just for some new wheels from HRE Wheels tuner. The installation was carried out by Wheels Boutique, another famous tuner that provides professional wheel solution.

The M4 is the last model to receive extensive mods, especially under the hood, where sits a new ECU remapping and a couple of other new mechanical stuff, which significantly increase the M4`s power and torque.

The BMW M4 in question looks absolutely amazing at the exterior with the gorgeous two-tone red and white paintjobs, while the new visual enhancements and other technical gear brought by Manhart, make it ready for the new power upgrade under the hood.

Technically, the M4 in question has received KW Variant 3 coil-overs which reduce its ride height, improving thus stance, while the new M Performance Parts extend the car`s aerodynamics. There is also the new carbon fiber intake system especially built for the car be Eventuri firm, and which increases the engine soundtrack and adds more power, of course. With the new exhaust in one place, the tuner also added new cat-less downpipe which helps the gas to exit into the Manhart muffler system with a custom piping. And there is of course, the new ECU remapping, also helpful in boosting the power.

The M Performance Parts at the exterior refer to M Performance front spoiler, M Performance rear diffuser and new bonnet with GTR vents, all features being made from carbon fiber. Inside, the cabin has also been customized to shed off some serious weight. We are dealing here with a red roll cage and Recaro bucket seats in the front, while the rear seats have been removed to make the car lighter. Also, to give it a cozy and luxurious feel, the technicians have finally added M Performance Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and black Alcantara accents.

As for performance under the hood, the tuner`s new toys make this M4 more powerful. This means 405 kW and 820 Nm of torque, way too impressive than the stock 331 kW and 550 Nm of torque. Unfortunately, performance figures have not been provided yet, but we expect around 3.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, quite dramatic than the stock 4.3 seconds. Stay tuned!

However, there are tuners willing to take one particular 5-er and transforming into something even more spectacular, giving away certain “flaws” that it comes with from the factory. Well, perhaps I overreacted a little bit.

Such spectacular 5-Series models come in different shapes, depending on the tuner company you choose to work with. For instance, the owner of the model in question below wanted something out of the ordinary for his ride.

The G30 BMW 5-Series seen below is wearing the magnificent Carbon Black Mettalic paintjob which makes it a real killer with the new set of wheels received from famous Vossen Wheels tuning firm. The wheels refer to Vossen CG-203 forged, measuring 20 x 9.5 and 20 x 11 front and rear, respectively. The concave design and split-five spoke configuration enhance the car`s aggressive looks and stance.

Besides the new set of wheels, this black G30 5-Series has also received some slight visual modifications, including black kidney grill at the front, black side sills and a couple more at the back.

No performance upgrades were carried out under the hood. In fact, it doesn’t need any new blood in the veins, at least not for the moment. Should someone need some, there are other tuners willing to take matter into their own hands.

As a reminder, the 2018 BMW 5-Series is offered with a wide variety of engines. In Europe for instance, it comes with a 2.0-liter turbo flat-four cylinder and 3.0-liter turbo diesel, in the 520d (190 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque), and 530d (265 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque), respectively. Perhaps they have seen the car`s potential and have come up with custom-built programs that would make it look much more aggressive and fill-up the gaps left out by BMW.

Recently, Manhart took over a black X6 and decided to play around its body style, while adding some goodies inside, courtesy of Carlex Design, which deals with such things.

Starting with the exterior, the BMW X6 by Manhart looks like a real Manhart, thanks to the unique paintjob to start with. It involves a dark chocolaty brown with caramel-coloured stripes. Then comes other highlights like custom bumpers and skirts, adding as well bespoke fender flares or front spoiler and rear diffuser. The massive black wheels complete the visual enhancements.

The interior however, is a different kind of thing. It wears the signature of Carlex Design, which is a master in terms of interior customizations, and this X6 seen here is no exception from their rule.

Everything is high-end inside – Alcantara/leather upholstery on the seats with premium stitching and piping, and adding as well custom carbon fiber and piano black trims with yellow details. There is also the black suede headliner with yellow stripes.

Strange enough, Manhart tuner has not announced any new performance upgrades under the hood. However, the presence of the new rear diffuser might be a sign that the work is not finished yet.

It is also the case of the below BMW X5 M which has received in latest guise a pretty fine aero package from German tuner firm Z-Performance.

The owner of the SUV wanted to create something unique and equipped it with a black body wrap and massive alloy wheels. And the result can be seen in the media gallery below.

From a visual standpoint, the BMW X5 M by Z-Performance stands out from the crowd with a lot of dark tint on the lamps, window and reflectors, all complementing the car`s black panels and alloy wheels. There is also a carbon fiber front spoiler and rear diffuser.

There are also the new rims, involving a new set of 22-inch rims, measuring 10.5- and 12.0-inch, in and out respectively, and are finished in matte black in the center. To go with the wheels is the new set of coil-over suspension system which brings our X5 M closer to the ground, providing thus increased stance.

There is also the in-house built exhaust system with carbon fiber exhaust tips, which makes the SUV`s engine sound even more impressive. This means a total of 750 horsepower squeezed from the same engine.

This is quite impressive given the stock 4.4-liter V8 TwinPower Turbo mill with 575 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, allowing an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds, at a topping of 250 km/h. the power kit was built by Gorilla Performance and was installed by Z-Performance.
